Joe has run the kind of businesses Applied Intent works for. As operating executive for a private family office, he's held full P&L, capital allocation and M&A authority across a portfolio spanning construction equipment rental, vertical access, stair manufacturing and millwork.
He has also been on the other side of the table. Brought in as president of MarineCFO following its Series A, he took an enterprise platform from early-stage product to more than 40 customers across 10 countries. He now leads AI deployment across every company in the portfolio, separating what genuinely requires AI from what disciplined automation does better.
Dean Shoultz

Dean builds the tools other people build businesses on. He founded Advanced Software, where he created UA Business Software, an ERP and accounting system that came to run more than 6,000 companies, along with the development framework beneath it that FoundryONE descends from. He has built and exited three commercial products.
He is technical founder and principal architect of Boost, a cloud-native platform for behavioral health practices designed AI-ready from the outset, where built-in validation holds claims to a 99.4% clean rate. He also founded MarineCFO, now Ripple, which supplies operating technology to the global marine transportation industry.

Michael brings many years of experience as an operational and financial ERP solution consultant to mid-sized and large organizations across distribution, manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, government, and other industries. He has helped companies select, implement, and improve business systems across a broad range of ERP platforms, serving as a trusted advisor and an agent of digital transformation.
He combines strategic guidance with hands-on experience creating both commercial ERP products and solutions tailored to individual clients. His work connects business operations, financial requirements, and technology, with an emphasis on emerging AI-driven strategies and holistic solution design.
